Carol Anne Hartwick
Carol Anne obtained her Master’s degree in Education from Université Paris Descartes–Sorbonne in 2010, the thesis of which compared Canadian and French food practice and education in schools and in the home.
In 2012, Carol Anne became the first cotutelle student at Flinders University, Adelaide. This collaborative doctoral program has enabled her to undertake a portion of her research at Université Paris Descartes– Sorbonne and a portion at a partnering overseas institution, Flinders University, thereby earning a doctorate from both. She has also recently integrated collaboration with the CSIRO as the recipient of a PhD top-up scholarship.
Carol Anne’s current research interests include a variety of topics around health and food appreciation, education, behaviour and culture. Particularly, comparative studies on food culture and obesity prevention in France and Anglo-Saxon countries are a focus.
